| Just curious is a transgendered woman a lesbian?
|
|
|
|
Maybe someone may have a different opinion but is a transgendered woman still considered a lesbian, and what if which I have read happens alot is that a transgendered woman may have no attraction to a man when she is a woman but when she takes steps to become a man then she is a attracted to men I know this may not make sense but like I an really confused and say that gay man isnt attracted to women but is attracted to a transgendered woman who now is a man but has her woman private parts does that make the gay man not gay? and does that make the trans woman straight? if she is attracted to men after she became a man but has her woman parts .What got me asking this is because I was watching one of the last episodes of season 5 of THE L WORD and Max who is a trasngendered woman (for woman to man) but still has all her woman parts she just takes testosterone, she hooked up with a gay man that liked her he knew she was still a woman but looked like a man and they had sex the gay man was the dominate one I was a lil confused and like I said I heard that sometimes when a lesbian woman trabsitions she can sometimes be attracted to a man

whoa... i never thought about it that much.
my answer is... i'm confused. haha I thought about my answer so much I can barely remember my own name anymore.
I guess the only thing I can say is... it is what it is. Things are as they are. Some things just can't be explained.

It is definitely cofusing! For me, I just prefer not to use laels, it takes away all the confusion. For example, I feel people just love someone, or are attracted to someone, just because they like them, irrespective of their sex. its possible its that simple and looking at it that way not only removes labels, but also removes negative stigma too.

surely the whole point is that if a woman is undergoing the process to become a man she wants to be viewed as a man not as a woman...so if they were going out with a woman would want to be thought of as a straight man rather than a lesbian woman...otherwise they would carry on living as a woman and being identified as a lesbian...
This seemed clear to me when I was thinking it through but not sure it came out as such, d'oh!

If a woman has the operation and is attracted to a man then she is seen as a gay man, but truely she is a straight woman. So really she has teh choice to decide which she wants to be. (The opposite for guys.)

i see what you mean.. i think when a woman is turned to a guy, then likes guys, she is considered straight. and vice versa.

If a woman turns into a man then she would be a he and would consider himself a man. Therefore if he liked a woman he would be straight and if he liked a man he would be gay.
I think...

I know people don't like labels and all I have heard of women being lesbians but when they change sex they are attracted to men and not women anymore
