Success and Failure

Do not ask,

What is the use of it all?

Even if one has naught to look upon,

But the sorrows of the heart;

Do not ask,

What is the meaning of the struggle?

Even if each and every effort,

Is thrust back to square one.

If one tries and fails,

One should try again,

To improve our common lot,

And with perseverance,

Perchance, we shall prevail.

Failure did not discourage him,

But provided the impetus,

To complete the given task,

In this material world.

The man of wisdom bides his time,

At a measured pace, oblivious of all else.

What is it we want?

But success in our life,

Having got it – what will we do with it?

An uncertain tomorrow awaits us,

But with determination,

It is not too much,

To hope for a little more.
