 The New York Giants?
The NY Giants...Really?

The New York Giants did what? No way! How in the world did a 3-5 team at home win 11 games on the ROAD? Wait, I have a better question. How did that team beat arguably one of the greatest teams of all time: a team that brought an unblemished record to the Show?

I could go ESPN Analyst on this one, but I don't know enough about either team to explain how the Giants pulled off the huge upset. I've decided to take a different approach. I'm going with the "One Game" cliche. You know, the whole "...if we played those guys a hundred times, they might win ninety-nine" cheesey motivational tool. But, it is TRUE! Yes, the Giants could run the ball and they had a superb defensive line, but it seemed like the Patriots would throttle inconsistent Eli Manning and the rest of the injured Giants team. But Eli decided to either 1)forget all about his start in New York or 2)rub it in the faces of every Giants fan that ever said, "Man, 'dem guys freakin' stink! Eli's entire career can now be judged by the 3rd Down play during which he pulled a Houdini and magicianed his way out of what seemed to be a sure sack and find a receiver down field to preserve the game-winning drive.

Despite the fact that the Patriots were out muscled and out hussled, they were out played and out classed...that's right, out classed! Did everybody see Bill Belichick leave the field before the game was over? He knew that the Giants had beaten him and he also knew that there were a couple of seconds left on the clock. But, hey, he IS the Patriots. If he wants to look like a classless bum on a national stage that's his choice. Although, I think he looks like a bum anyway, with his "Coaching Apparel". Also, it is okay that he was in the locker room before the final snap of the game. I mean, he must have been having a nightmare...the Patriots...lose? Hell yes they lost and I loved every minute of it. Maybe next year the Patriots will accomplish new levels of arrogance.
