I am nervous, scared but at the same time excited and full of anticipation. My first class begins this Saturday. 18 years working in the bank and I finally found a way out of the sloghouse (though not immediately), and into college. I'm afraid I may not last, or make it through cos my brain is not tuned to studying.
The course that I'm taking up is Diploma in TESOL. Classes will start with weekend classes 5 hours each for the first 4 months. The next few months would be assignment based and if I'm in focus and situation is condusive I could finish before the year ends. Then I could go all out to change my profession and do the things I really emjoy.
Perhaps this course is my only hope for better quality in life, not just for myself but for the sake of my family. Hope you guys out there keep me in your prayers.. :-)

My best wishes and I'm sure you will make it. Many say the older you are the harder to learn. But I don't think it is true. I believe the opposite, the older is the wiser and easier to focus/concentrate. I learned computer for the first time in 2004 (I'm over 50), and I think I was doing well.
