What a difference 10 years makes!
Today it is here...
Our celebration of 10 years.
Of fights and love.
And battles and hugs.
I was only 21
when the marriage bug stung.
And down the isle I went
With my daddy's arm bent
Fighting together our fears
Of letting go of our tears
For my grandmother who was absent
From the wedding of present.
While moving from daddy, to my husband to be
I noted how daddy was setting me free.
I was no longer his baby, I was the bride of the day
And standing beside Joe is where I intended to stay.
We said our vows softly in front of the church
Up there in the front just like on a perch.
I was given a ring, a sign of his love
Just like the Lord shows us from way up above.
My nieces how cute as they were
Were fighting together to make quite a stir.
For bubbles were given to each our our friends
And Jon (gotta love him) through the whole bottle at me, end over end.
The limo arrived, just half hour late.
For they had written the wrong date.
Around and around we drove and went to Earl May
Where they wanted Joe to work and hoped he could stay.
The cake what a mess
And all over my dress.
The pictures were taken over and over (and over) again.
And off to the food table ahead of our friend.
The dance it was started with games and loud noise
And I got to feel butts just like they were toys.
When it was all over we went to go rest
(and get out of that horrible dress!)
I drank to much champange
And my head felt a huge pain.

The next morning ended the wedding
To start on the marriage (something I wasn't quite dreading)
10 years later, a house, 2 cars, 2 kids, a dog
Will 20 years make all the fun stop?
(I certainly hope not)

How very cute and wonderful. I do hope that I find someone in whom I can love and spend the rest of my days with.

Thanks so much for sharing!! Congratulations.
