There were 4 in the bed and the mama said,
Roll Over! Roll Over!
What's up with nightmares happening to both kids on the same night? One thinks he owns the top half of the bed and the other one thinks she owns the rest. And I'm not saying they sleep straight...they sleep sideways, in a ball, elbows in my side, or a foot in my eyeball.
So after falling asleep way to late thinking about summer school today I fell asleep around 1 AM. The first little visitor arrived shortly after 2. The next little visitor...a little after 3. (Reminds me of the ghosts who visit Scrooge every hour!)
After about 15 minutes of everyone enjoying each others company (ha ha ha ha) I got up and left thinking I would outsmart all of them and sleep in the twin bed by myself and the other 3 can stay in the queen size bed. I was wrong in my thinking...as the little one yells, I want to sleep with mama!
(Mama is silently screaming NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!)
So the boys get the queen size bed and the girls sleep in the twin size bed. Not fair I think!
By then I realize that I am the bed of toys and books. No wonder she can't sleep as every time I rolled over I hit a book corner or set off a loud singing toy. It took about 20 minutes to clean the bed out and gently fall asleep.
I don't think I could have been asleep more than an hour when the alarm clock went off and it was time to get up. How rude!
Then my children have the nerve to say to me..."I'm tired!" Who are they kidding?
