The fire extinguisher did me in!
I knew today was going to be a little rough and it certainly didn't disappoint.

I held my head up high and said, I'm sorry but I can't do this all alone.

Especially when the world started throwing me a thousand curves.

I told her I couldn't do it anymore and that's when the last curve came.

The last straw that sent me home wondering if what I'm doing is ever enough.

The fire inspector, a man's whose job is to keep us safe.

And the children safe.

And to send me over the edge...that's what he did to me today without even knowing.

He told me that not only did I forget to do a drill but I also haven't done...

The fire extinguisher check.

A monthly check off of the tanks inside.

A piece of paper that requires my signature, my eyes to observe, and my heart was

Crushed.

Another thing to do

Another thing away from the kids

Another thing...

Crushed.

And I lay wondering

Can I go back and do a million things tomorrow?

Or will the fire extinguisher have to hit me over the head...

Before I realize I can't...doesn't mean I won't.
