Start with dressing in the green.
Make the kids wear funny socks
With green and tiny rocks
(Shamrocks that is)
Than freak them out a little
Saying the wee ones with their fiddles
Hold the map to the gold
If only we could be told
The direction to the end of the rainbow
Either up or down the hole?
I would like to find it.
If only it were lite.
The saint is Bishop Patrick
Stolen when he was but a tyke.
Forced to herd some silly sheep
To keep them in a heap.
We celebrate the man who became so kind
But put that all behind
So we can celebrate the day that's here
With friends and emerald beer.

No matter what the way
Shamrocks, rainbows, or green to say
Have the best of all today!
