 One fall day

A beautiful fall day
Starting with sleeping in late
A quick visit to the doctor
For a flu shot for my son.
And a stop off for medicine for my dearest one.

The 5 us traveled a little farther north
And explored a museum of natural wonders.
The whole experience was amazing
Except for the slimy creatures with no legs.  (BLAH!)

Spending time with my parents
Showed me something I hadn't realized
That time has passed and so has their strength
But somehow their comments are more hurtful than ever!

Next a trip up the hill
On a trolley car built for a banker
And lunch at a McDonald's.
Before the long drive back home.

After dropping off everyone at home
I decided to mow the lawn
But it turned about to be mowing leaves instead
Before I could reach the yard.

The children got their costumes
The stores got some of my money
And yet the beauty of the day
Did not end for me, not yet

The campfire bowl was used again
For almost 2 long hours
The conversation around it was heart warming
And together our family was whole once again.
