| My mom |
|
Today I honor my mother
As does the rest of the nation.
For being my imperfect angel here on earth.
For all the wrongs she has done
She made up for in 1000 rights.
She loves me more than anyone I know and has done her very best.
And is still the one I long for, when the world just isn't quite right.
She knows me when I cannot know myself.
She smiles when I laugh
She hurts when I hurt
And she believes in me when I can't.
Today I honor my mother, for putting up with me when the rest of the world couldn't
For being the woman who gave me life and held my hand to show me the world.
Who taught me to look both ways before crossing the street, and how to laugh when everything is going wrong.
She showed me the beauty in her parent's death and that failing a class really isn't the end of the world.
She embraced my pregnancy's with dignity and grace and was there for the birth of both of her grandchildren.
This woman of 5 foot 4 has the strength of 100 strong men and the grace of a ballet dancer and I'm proud to call her...MOM.
