| My daughter, my Joy |
|
I call her peanut and she calls me Mama.
Her brown eyes sparkle when she giggles
Her hugs melt my heart.
Her smiles light up the room.
And she is a girl's girl...pink and frills, carrying the worms she found in the dirt while wearing her new princess dress.
I love this little girl with all of my heart.
But there is another side of my angel, that she only shares with me
The sweet and innocent trouble maker!!!!!!
If I hear "I didn't do it on purpose" one more time
I'm afriad I won't have any hair left.
In the course of one day she
has spilled her milk,
let the dog out the door,
cut all of my daffodil blooms off,
cut part of her bangs off with scissors,
spilled the fish food,
spilled some water that hit my camera,
sat in the dirt to play with her "tools",
said she would take a bath, but sat in the bathroom and wiped her dirty feet on rug,
spilled her pizza on the floor and the dog moved it into the living room, wiped her mouth with her pajama shirt that was just washed,
threw a giant fit on her bike because her legs hurt, she needed a kleenex, she was hot, she was cold, i went to far ahead of her, i got behind her and she didn't know where i was, etc. etc. etc.
I just seemed like every time I would get one of her messes cleaned up another one appeared. (and believe me I made her clean up the best a 4 year old can, but most of the time it becomes a bigger mess then it started out to be.)
The only thing I could come up with was pulling weeds out the garden I haven't planted yet (however she enjoyed that, but at least it was job I didn't have to do and I didn't think she could make too big of a mess there and also to send her to bed a little early so I could get a break.
My darling little girl, with her big brown eyes, adorable smile, shining hair dancing in the sunlight and her mother hiding in the corner listening for the "i'm sorry, i didn't mean to" while prying the hair out of my fingers.
