Having a bit of fun today
At work and through some emails.
I've talked with friends I haven't seen in months
And some I saw this week.
I regret the ones I hurt
And miss the ones that left
But they made choices too
And that I cannot change.
Last night I had some time to me
And enjoyed the beauty of the world
It's when I thought today
I'd look for all the good.
Today I learned about new furniture
And saddness in another's voice
I accidently stabbed myself with scissors
And laughed all the way to the nurse.
I tried to make a hat
That even the kids could not understand
And danced a terrible dance.
I played with my son's new kitty
After taking him to the vet.
I got the last piece of McDonald's toys I was collecting.
After asking through the window.
I watched a movie with my kids
And talked with Chris again.
I made a plan with a friend
To take a photography class
And another friend
To take us to her church
Of course it takes a lot of work
And sometimes hard on me
But what this time has taught me
Is there's a lot of fun to had
And love to be exchanged
And laughter...pure laughter to felt.
