The thunderstorm that is blowing outside
And the emptiness of the calendar
Proved an interesting night for
Family Night.
It started with pizza, dessert pizza, and chocolate milk for dinner.
All that remained was 4 pieces of dessert pizza.
Then onto moon sand, with castle making, bridges, and towers.
Of course the clean up took a little bit of time, but the giggles made it worth it.
The board games continued next on the list with my children becoming land tycoons in Sesame Street Monopoly and their poor mother without a dollar to her name and in debt to them both.
KerPlunk was next with the point to get no marbles and the giggles started when the little one was thrilled with her marbles dropping out of the cups like rain.
The books about coral reefs were read and next the baths...which at the last moments approached before bed time, the alarm goes off, tornado that is. Quickly we rushed downstairs with dripping hair to our security area.
The kids and I colored and I got to write my name on both drawings as I helped with both pages going to daddy. After 30 minutes we returned upstairs when what was thought to be the all clear turned out to be the second alarm, so bed time was delayed once again.
At good and bad time this evening...all stated the weather was the bad part...and family night was the good.
