Lunch time with the girl was spent with my associates at Mr. Beans for some wonderful being spoiled time. She was in her element being loved and adored by the women who love and adore her. I hated taking her back to daycare, but alas a long afternoon was in store for me at work before...
The party went off with only minor hitches, but it was totally wonderful, the kids had a wonderful time, and my baby shined.
I got off work and picked up Jackson up from school. He and I went to Dollar General to buy him a single use camera for the Iowa game tomorrow. Then we packed his bag for an overnighter at his Aunt Katie's after the big party.
Then off to pick up the birthday girl. She was wired but in a good way. We packed the van and headed off to get her cakes. (yes, I said cakes) Then we drove to the park and started getting ready while daddy got the extra stuff we needed. The party goers came and we started playing, swimming in the splash pad, talking with our friends and families. Next was hot dogs, Camp Rock cupcake cake, and gift opening. Joy was a star and deserved her spotlight.
We got to hang out with friends we haven't seen for awhile or just today. We had family members taking care of us. And I loved the love around us today.
The saddest point is my sister-in-law was rushed to the hospital after work today with a 103 degree temp. We are still currently waiting to hear what's going on there. My brother called me apologizing for missing the party, but the biggest gift he can give us is taking care of his wife.
Birthday Diva Part III is going on as we speak with 2 neighbor girls spending the night. More on birthday girl tomorrow...
