Today has been an interesting day! And in my own wicked way...a lot of fun!
I got up a little late and woke my children up while they moaned about how it's unfair they had to get up this morning. (yeah, cause its my fault they were up until 11 last night and still had to get up for VBS this morning)
As a way to get exercise and save a little on gas money, the kids and I have been riding our bikes to church. Joy has never really enjoyed it, and today she made sure I knew she was un-happy...and the rest of the block got to hear how un-happy she was too. She was screaming that next time we need drive the car. I just laughed at her.
At VBS, I was one of two of adults with 8 junior high students and 13 preschoolers. I wasn't sure who I was redirecting more...the junior high kids or the preschoolers. However, I overheard a conversation from the helpers that I was getting on their nerves. (along with other complaints) I don't really care, but it was good to know that I had gotten under their skin. :-)
After I got home from VBS, Jackson reminded me that it was allowence day and that I promised to take him to Walmart to spend it. And I reminded him that his room needed to be cleaned before we did that. Since the realization kicked in he has shared with me how mean he thinks I am for making him clean his room without helping him and that I won't how unfair it is that he has to do work before I will give him the rest of his allowence and take him to the store.
Sometimes, it really does feel good to be so bad.
