They looked quite ordinary at first glance. She was frail and old. He was stooped and grey. An equally tired and battered shopping bag between them told me why they were on the bus. The free Metro newspaper was tucked away to be relished in leisure. 'How empty their lives must be, to make a day out of grocery shopping'....I sneered to myself. Their stop arrived and they prepared to get off. The gentle man picked up the bag and held his arm out for his ancient companion. 'Steady on' he cautioned as she got down. Then I saw it....they turned, looked at each other and smiled. Eyes lit up, face bright with the love for one another, content with themselves and their lives!!! They had everything they needed and their life was rich .Tears blurred my eyes as I continued on my journey to my empty home and my emptier life........

The most valuable things can't be measured in numbers. Just hold on... your riches will come.
