Journeyman, I hope you reconsider. I and many others enjoy and are blessed by your posts. You have a very thoughtful mind and a compassionate heart. This may not reach millions, but it reaches enough. Freethinker or others like him should never be the reson you decide to quit. For whatever reason he has a lot of hate in his heart and may die that way. But remember the story of the prodigal son. Just keep on keeping on and if the day comes that he starts walking back, run to meet him. But until then, God gave you a purpose and meaning. And maybe it is being here sharing what God puts on your heart!
Jesus said because they persecuted me, so they will also persecute you. There will always be people like freethinker, and becuase he is your son it has to be hard, but regardless you have to continue the work you were sent to do! Let God deal with them.
I hope you reconsider, you are a great source of truth here. But if God has led you to a new path, then go and do your best. |

Don't Quit
To Journeyman,
Like many others on this website, I have enjoyed your blogs concerning a variety of topics; Christian doctrine, history and theology…but also your articles in reference to Evolution and Atheism. I was sad to see that you deleted all of them, except specific Christian topics after the incredible disrespect directed to you my freethinker (your son). I understand that you did that because you felt the best way to stop the religious bigotry, ignorance, disrespect and “name calling”, was to just end it. That took a lot of character as our first reaction is to fall into the…”I have to have the last word”, mode. Well, I wish you would reconsider …and continue your articles. The best way to learn…is to teach…and you have been doing a pretty good job of it. I copied your some of your articles “Atheism….the Philosophy of the Broken”…as well as Fairy Tales for Adults #1, #2 and #3, if you didn’t and would be glad to e-mail them to you. Also I would like to share with you sometime regarding a more detailed examination of macroevolutionary thesis and implication in modern genetics. Keep up the good work.
