 The smell of coffee
You know how certain smells remind you of things/people? This morning I brewed a cup of coffee in my Krups single coffee maker (which I love btw) and I walked back in to my home office to start my day and the smell reminded me of when I worked in a "real" office with lots of cubicles and people. In a way I miss being in an office. I had lots of friends and we used to go to lunch or go shopping during lunch. We also had a gym in the building which I would frequent at least 4 times a week during lunch. I left it behind (and a heavty salary I might add) to stay home with the kids. I requested part time but they wouldn't approve it so I left. How crazy is that? I was making over $80k a year and I just walked out. We only had 1 child at the time and he was 10 years old. So on my last day of work I peed on a stick to find that I was finally pregnant after 13 months of trying and after many rounds of fertility treatments (artificial insemination.) I'm thinking back to when son #2 was 11 months old I peed on another stick and surprise surprise I was pregnant again (without help this time and totally not planned.) This time it was twins BOYS. I'm sitting at my desk with 3 kids under 2 in the other room. The coffee smell reminded me of all of this. Coffee is a big part of my life I guess. HA!

Hi, I'm a new blogger and your post made me smile from ear to ear. I too, have a lot of "coffee memories" from the office. I had to quit work about a year os so ago due to health reasons, and I miss the coffee moments with me office friends. Now it's just me, the computer and my coffee saying. Now what? :-)
