I just went back to Guangzhou in 10th May from ChengDu Sichuan. And on Monday, my first day on work from long time business trip, a friend Away called me in the afternoon, then asked me are you OK? when I puzzled about that, Away told me that an earthquake occured in Chengdu at that time, and he had thought I was still in Chengdu.
After that I came back and checked the news in internet immediately, and I knew it was a greate earthquake measuring 7.8 rocked Wenchuan Sichuan, which was nearly to Chengdu. because the roadway was destroyed, the rescuers can't reach the towns, and had no message from these towns because the communication net was destroyed, too.
Though we are no from Sichuan, but all of us care of the news from the earthquake place, and we wish the people were in safety. After that, we received many message from TV,internet...we heard so much good news and so much gloomy news.
Now it was over 7 days passed, and we still care the people from earthquake place, they are living in tents, some of the children can't come back to school, I hope we can pay more attention to them, not now but in a long time, an officer said maybe they will live in tents for one or two years. As a chinese, I think I will care of them until they have a better life.
