| Three for the Price of One

I still can't wrap my mind around it.
Last night, I was looking through several video stores for a copy of The Mummy and The Mummy Returns. I just watched Mummy 3 last Friday and I was a bit disappointed so I wanted to remind myself why I liked the Mummy franchise in the first place.
Anyway, I find this appliance store in one of the nearby malls in my area and they were selling VCDs and DVDs too.
They were having some kind of promo. Three VCDs for 200 pesos.
It kinda made sense coz most of the VCDs were priced at 75-100 pesos. So it was like buy two, get one free. So I got The Mummy and The Mummy Returns (P75 for the first one, P100 for the sequel).
What was stupid was that VCDs priced at P275 was also included in the promo.
I wanted to watch the Atonement with James McAvoy and Keira Knightley, but it was priced at 275 so I decided to ignore it at first, but then the saleslady told me that it could be my third VCD.
I was like, "Are you sure? It's P275. I can get it for 200 along with the other two VCDs?"
She nodded.
"So if I buy just this, it's 275 pesos?"
She nodded.
"But if I get it with two other VCDs, it's 200?"
She nodded.
Ooookaaaay... O_O
I plan to go back today and buy 3 VCDs worth 275 pesos each on their lonesome and just get them for 200 pesos when put all together.
And I thought I understood the concept of a buy and sell business...

make sure whatever you buy is what you needed. the trick is to ask you to buy more and they can ern more..cheap doesnt means is good or useful for you..you might end up have to find a storage for it.

The three movies I bought were actually movies that I really wanted to watch, so I think I got the better end of the bargain. ^_^
But I do agree with you. Often times, people would buy more than they need or want just because it's on sale or it's cheap. :)
