The person described in this is the type of self-depricating masochist to describe themselves that way. ==> Huh?!
The poem just reminds me of a young dreamer waiting for love and messing up while he/she is at it.

I actually agree with brainstormer. I think it's because your first section is very structured... You have a pattern going.
And come the second section, it just kind of got a bit... uhm, scattered...
And after you left, the smiles that were too strong to suppress,
Too unruly to control....

Anyway, if I were to say this poem, the one I would be talking to would be God. "What are we in your eyes?"
It makes sense that way... ^_^
