Setting the World on Fire
Ah, dreams. We all have them (at least I hope). If you are like me it’s a good news/bad news situation. I have many dreams, representing a mind full of hope. However, I am very slow to act on them. As a result, many of these hopes and desires remain as dreams.

Why is this? There are several reasons like fear of failure or rejection. However, if I were to be honest, I will confess right here in front of anyone reading this, and God Himself, that it is due to a lack of faith. I am a strong Christian believer, and have a genuine faith. However, I believe God wants much more than that. I believe that he wants us not only to believe, but to ACT in faith. I believe that this happens by prayer, and full reliance on God, knowing that God has already answered our prayers according to his will.

One of the areas God has shown me this is a song that I have heard several times in the past few days (no, I don’t believe this is coincidence). The song is by Britt Nicole, titled “Set the World On Fire”. The lyrics fit perfectly to what I believe God has been telling me. Here's the chorus:

 I am small but
 You are big enough
I am weak but
You are strong enough to
Take my dreams
Come and give them wings
Lord with You
There’s nothing I can not do
Nothing I cannot do

So why not believe this, and act on it. If the Lord is for us, who can be against us? Why not put our dreams in the Lord's hands and believe they can come true, acting as if they already have. And let it be solely for the glory of God, setting this world on His holy fire. Then I just wish I could see the smile on His face when our dreams come true
