I Think I Can, I Think I Can!
Anyone who has read "The Little Engine That Could" would recognize the above quote in my title. It comes from a childrens' book, but when I saw the book recently and remembered its theme, I realized how much this story can influence the lives of adults.

In case you haven't seen the story or have forgotten, the little engine ultimately accomplishes its goal of getting up the big hill because it keeps saying and believing that it can. It keeps repeating..."I think I can, I think I can".We all have our own obstacles and challenges, many of which seem impossible to accomplish. However, by believing that we can, we usually will.

This is an area of my life where I am really being challenged lately, and I must say that I am seeing the results. Not only am I getting this done, but they are getting done well, and I have been much more successful in accomplishing my tasks and goals lately.

I would like to take the challenge a step further. Instead of "thinking" I can, I will say..."I know I can, I know I can. Remember, we can accomplish anything through Him who strengthens us. And if God is for us, no one can be against us. He has already given us the victory. We just need to pray and believe that it is ours.

So when facing our obstacles and seeking to accomplish our goals this week, let's take a step back to our childhood, and remember the little engine that could. Let us know we can, and then enjoy the victories as they occur
