| An Experiment For Believers And Non Believers |
Here is a way you can find out if there is a God through a scientific type experiment, or you can increase your faith through the same. If you sincerely follow the method outlined below, it will work. It comes from a man named Alma, who was foretelling the coming of Jesus Christ about 74 BC. somewhere on the American continent. At about this time he came across a group of people that were in poverty, they were so poor that they had been rejected from their places of worship. Alma recognizes that the circumstances these people had found themselves was advantageous to them receiving the word of Christ. He went on to explain that the humility needed to exercise faith in God could be either forced upon a person through external circumstances such as poverty or a teachable attitude could be brought on by self, through choice, internally regardless of outside conditions. The following are the words of Alma a Prophet of God with a testimony of Jesus Christ 74 years before his birth, for you to today, to ponder. There is no point in rushing through this experiment. You need to reread it again and again and pondering upon it allowing yourself to be sensitive to the feelings of your heart and the impressions on your mind. Go to a quiet place where you will not be disturbed. The peaceful spirit of God is more likely to communicate with your spirit under these conditions. The words that Alma asks us to experiment upon are the words of Christ.
ALMA CHAPTER 32
27 But behold, if ye will awake and arouse your faculties, even to an experiment upon my words, and exercise a particle of faith, yea, even if ye can no more than desire to believe, let this desire work in you, even until ye believe in a manner that ye can give place for a portion of my words.
28 Now, we will compare the word unto a seed. Now, if ye give place, that a seed may be planted in your heart, behold, if it be a true seed, or a good seed, if ye do not cast it out by your unbelief, that ye will resist the spirit of the Lord, behold, it will begin to swell within your breasts; and when you feel these swelling motions, ye will begin to say within yourselves - It must needs be that this is a good seed, or that the word is good, for it beginneth to enlarge my soul; yea, it beginneth to enlighten my understanding, yea, it beginneth to be delicious to me.

If you have been able to pay the price in spiritual effort and gained the evidence as a result, others will not be able to see that evidence. You will be the only one that will be able to see that evidence because the experiment is done internally. Between you and God alone. Does this make it any less real?
