| It is not ok to utilize common/street vernacular when writing for school or buisnesse because your supposed to know correct gramar, and at a buisness they want more educated people to work for them. |

| You are multiple levels of English so that later in life you are able to use correct grammar for formal use. When someone uses poor grammer it makes it harder for you to understand because you have to think of what they are trying to say. |

| Students are thought to use correct grammar because when you grow up and go off to college or try to get in some require you to write an essay and bad grammar doesn’t help you. When you type in Ebonics and street talk it makes you sound like an idiot and stupid like you don’t have any home training. Sometimes it is hard for me to read but most of the time I can read it clearly. |

| As students we are taught grammar and spelling to teach us our language correctly. It is thought not proper to speak in slang. At businesses or at school, it is important to speak clearly and correctly. Speaking grammatically correct and using correct spelling shows your educational background. It is not hard for me to read things that are grammatically incorrect to an extent. |

Correct grammar, and correct use of idioms, and word efficiency is an important life skill that today's generation lacks. The people of today with such words as "cuddy" and such grammar as, "quit trippin, was wit teh acktin out" is just ridiculous. I wish that the way we talk, was a grade in school; ^_^ that would be great, but then our school would have a higher failing rate then a passing one. lol

| Students are taught correct grammar and spelling so when they get in the “real” world and have jobs they can be professional. You shouldn’t use the street language because it makes you seem sloppy and ignorant. Yes, it is hard for me to read poorly written things. |

People from another part of the country or the other side of the "hood" may use different vernacular and communication ceases to exist successfully. We're taught and expected to use English correctly because it's a skill. Skills are meant to be done to the best of your ability. Street vernacular should be limited to casual conversation, while "correct" English and grammar should be used in the school/business setting. It is more professional, and reflects on how much you've gotten out of your education.
Is it hard to read something someone has written that contains multiple typos or bad grammar? Absolutely. It's like trying to read another language that you "sort of" understand. |

| If you walked up to a person talking slang, the chance of them not understanding is very likely, whereas if you talked correct (or spelled correctly) the person would know what you are saying and could do whatever you asked. |
