I will be in Waco today for a conference. Please be extra good for the substitute as you always are. How do you choose your friends? When I was in high school I probably chose the friends that supported the weakest side of me instead of friends who accepted my weaknesses but supported the strongest side of me. What do you do? |

I have a tendency to choose friends who want to tell me what to do instead ask me what I think I should do. Here recently I have really found out who my friends are!

I'm having trouble finding the right words today, so bear with me...
I am actually the type of person who believes that everyone is good. This leads me to establish friendships with anyone and everyone. My closest and dearest friends are ones who have stood the test of time and who I have COMPLETE and TOTAL confidence in. (I'm older and have learned who these people are the hard way.) I have a very eclectic group of friends, though. It's amazing what you can learn and how much fun you can have with people who are nothing like you.
My husband was amazed when we first started dating (a long, long time ago) by the wide array of people that I hung out with. I believe in giving people the benefit of the doubt until they do something to disprove themselves. I guess what I mean by this is that a good friend is not one who would force you to do something that would potentially hurt you. That doesn't mean that me and my "besties" haven't done some crazy things, but let's go ahead and save this discussion for a different blog!!! : )

Umm i would have to say i choose my friends by the way they treat me and the way they treat others. I choose my friends by how much i can trust them.
