| Learning Centered vs Teaching Centered

Good Morning BCIS students! I love this weather. Do you think this course is learning centered or teaching centered? How do you think you learn better? Other than less work (as I know some of you will say), how would you change the way this course is presented to you? I value your opinion. You have proven yourself to be smart and insightful. Tell me what you think/believe.

I learn better by just reading something and not doing alot of work. I think that this stuff is teaching centered.

I like the way this class is a learning center. I like it this way. I like being give work ahead of time and you can work your own pace, and when you get done you have free time.

I think it is learning centered because you basically read the textbook and do what it says and remember it, and I wouldn't change the course because I'm too tired.

I like this way of teaching usually when a teacher gets up in front of the class the students tend to fall asleep, and dont learn anything. The way we are doing it now I think is easier, we work at our own pace and it's so much better than to hear a teacher talk especially in the morning when no body has woke up yet!!!

To me this class is alot more learning centered I learn more than I am taught, but that is good for me I learn more learning it myself then being taught it.I can learn when it is steadily just being told to me I like taking notes and and going over it steadily in class together then the teacher trying to keep beatng it in my head then failing me when I dont learn the way she tries to teach me.

I think this class is learning centered. Personally i learn better learning centered. I think that the way you are teaching now is just fine.

I learn better both ways it depends on what you are trying to learn. I think we should have more partner things.

I think this course is learning centered. I learn alot better when I can work at my own pace and learn how to do things on my own. I wouldn't change the way this course is presented, I like it the way it is already.

i think its learnign centered. but i like learning centered better than teaching centered bc i learn better this way the the other way. and i dont really like when teachers talk the whole class period bc i think kids also learn at different speeds.

I think learning centered is a better way to teach because you search and find answers on your own and by doing this you know the answer. You will remember the information and when its time for test or quiz you really dont have to study because you know the answers.

I think it's learning centered. I personally do better learning centered because teaching centered is so boring. I can learn more actually doing things than listening to someone talk forever.

i think this class is mostly learning centered! To me i just learn easier if a teacher explains it to me an then gives me the work to do, an work on at my own pace so dont get rushed!
