Feb 1 - Moment of Silence
Each morning we observe a moment of silence.  I have noticed that it is difficult for many of you to be silent and still for this minute.  You may not use the moment of silence for its intended purpose, but you should still be respectful of those who do.  When I was in school, we prayed each morning as a school.  If you are not using the moment of silence to pray, what are some other things you can use the time for?  Reflection on the day, your to do list, meditation, thinking about those who are no longer with us?  I expect you to observe the moment of silence, by being still and quiet for 60 seconds, no matter where you are in the school, no matter how you personally use the time.  Have a safe and restful weekend!

The moment of silence is a time for people to think back and show respect to all the men and women that have fought for the country. I sit there during the momne of silence, but if i have homework to do that i didnt finish then i work on that.

You can pray during that time or you can quietly think about what you have to do.
