 Women 3
My house became our hour and recently, it has become her house.  I have a small area where I work on my computer with a desk and a small tv, and a narrow area on the vanilty in the master bath.  I also have a narrow path next to my side of the bed and a patch on the end bedside table for my alarm clock and reading lamp.  Other than that, the rest of the house is overflowing with female stuff.
Why can't we have a table without a picture or a scented candle on it?  Why does every wall have to be decorated with an art print in a frame?  Why does the bathroom need new towels that I am not allowed to use, and old towels that I have to use?  Why do I only get one shekf out of six in the medicine cabinet?  Why do I only get one sixth of the master closet.? I could go on and on.  It seems like her nest has to be built so that there is no room to walk without bumping into something or tripping over something.  I even came home one day to a cat I didn't recognize.
I remember how it felt to be ten years old and feel the need to run away from home.  It would be so cool to just throw a few days worth of stuff in my car and take off on a road trip.
     So it goes.
