 Flu
Today, a third of our staff was out sick.  There too few of us to get the projects we are working on done, especially since the flu effected the secretaries more than any other group.  It is a well-known fact that the secretaries are really in charge, and the rest of us are just hanging out as decorative suit fillers.
We tried to schedule a shot clinic for the whole business, but we could not get thesyrem.  None was available in our area.  They say it will take another month or two for it to become common.  It should just about correspond to the date when everyone in the office has already had the flu.  It is just another example of the govenment at work.  They make a big deal about everyone getting the inocculation, but don't have the medicine on hand for them.  So, long lines at clinics and frustration for the people.
I think I'll take the staff out to lunch today, only three others in my area, and call it a day.  We can have a couple of drinks and gossip about the perfume lady who is coming to do her thing on Monday.
     So it goes.
