 The Laundry That Never Ends...
Sorry for some pointless ramblings (massive insomnia) but I spent a good portion of today trying to figure out how in the world I went from 2 loads every 2-3 days to 5 loads every 2-3 days, no joke. And Dh is drycleaning his uniforms so my past trend of 10-12 loads a week should be cut down by at least 3 loads, WRONG!

Jordan apparently has been sweating up a storm at night. He doesnt think to tell me he just takes off his jammies and puts new ones on. Thats all fine and dandy but I didnt know this till last night (I was awake) and it now explains why every night he tells me "I dont have any jammie pants". I know I just put a bunch in his drawer.

Then theres Derek, the kid who never has any clean socks. He gets dressed, goes outside, comes in, takes off his socks and puts them in the hamper (usually they have wood chips in them, or loads of dirt if he was out kicking the ant hills). He is in for 45 min and goes back out, another pair of socks. At some point we change his clothes b/c I dont want him on the couch all dirty/dusty and its pointless telling a 3 yr old to not throw dirt on himself. Then theres also a new set of jammies every night (if they take a bath and put them on I see nothing wrong with wearing the same pair for 2 nights), but again he has the sweat issue Jordan has.

And next we have Caleb. The boy who convinces his brothers to give him a cup of something before I wake up every morn and he spits it all over the place. This morn he had a JUICE BOX courtesy of Derek who proudly told me "Caleb asked me for some juice mommy, so we shared a juice box". I have to wash his jammies and bedding nearly every day. Thankfully my mom triple stitched the seams of his blanket, LOL, so I can at least alternate between his and Dereks. I, like an idiot every morning get him dressed before breakfast, serve them and jump in the shower (I admit thats the biggest perk of having Jordan in the house, Im guaranteed a shower right when I wake up). After breakfast we usually take J to school, come home and change Calebs clothes. Why you ask? b/c he makes it a point to hide food in his mouth and as soon as i pull out of the driveway he spits it all over himself in protest. he knows he can finish his food when we get back but its the principal of the matter I guess. One would think I would have learned by now but darn it I'm selfish, if i dont shower before I take J to school, I dont shower till 4pm and that just doesnt work for me.

And finaly we have my DH. Wakes up, showers, puts on his running shorts and a shirt (deals w/ kids, diapers, juice, cartoons, etc), gets ready for work, throws clean shirt in hamper (or floor, lol). comes home from work, changes into comfy clothes. hangs out w/ kids takes shower, throws shirt in the hamper, puts on running shorts again and ANOTHER SHIRT. And he wonders why he never has clean clothes.

Someone, anyone tell me IM NOT ALONE. My house keeper has offered to help me with laundry but I can do that, she does everything else. But Im finally getting WHY we have so much laundry. If it weren't for Jordan actually LIKING to help with house hold chores I just might go crazy. He puts all his stuff away. brings me hangers, I hang everything and he puts most of that away. I really only put away mine and hubbys stuff, oh and the littles dudes socks and jammies. But still, washing is an all day thing. Im waiting for my washer to go on strike! ;)
