As a journalist, it is a big no-no to spell someone's name incorrectly. Something about people getting a thrill of having their name in the paper only to have it dashed when the very thing they are excited about is wrong, somewhere along the lines of misproununciation. It happens. Get over it and get off your high horse.
Some journalists can be a little too proud of themselves. It's the soldiers out there fighting to keep our freedom who are the backbone of our free society, definitely not journalists. Don't get it wrong, free press is also a very important part of the fabric of a democracy, but do not use a broad brush to paint journalists as heroes.
