It is official, I need to move.
I've been living in this neighborhood for almost 3 years now. I don't like it here, but it's what we can afford. It's not a place were you can walk alone at night, unless you are asking for trouble.
I’ve had the driver-side window broken in my car twice. I lost count of how many times it was broken into. They (the people who broke into it) only stole one thing out of it, a casserole dish, since I never kept anything of value in it. I actually thought it was pretty funny. People need to cook. Well, I no longer have that car anymore. That's a different story.
The bf and I share an SUV now. Luckily, it's been left alone. That was until a couple days ago. Getting to the point, some one stole gas out of our suv, assholes even took the gas cap!! What is the world coming to?
I went to put gas in the suv the other day and my gas cap was missing. All the pieces fit into place. I had added $40 sometime last week. That usually lasts us almost 2 weeks. A few days later, I noticed that close to 1/2 of the gas was gone already. I figured the gas gage was broken or maybe the bf had been going on joyrides. That same day we both noticed a strong smell of gas when we went out. Without the gas cap all the fumes were escaping. We now have a gas cap that locks.
WOW, is this a glimpse into the future?? Warnings to everyone lock up and protect your gas. With gas prices getting higher, I wouldn’t be surprised if it is.
