i have an Ap examen tomorrow!!! i have to get a three to pass the test. i GEtto write three two page papers and an 80 question multiple choice.  :( this stinks i try to remember all the stuff but there is physically no Way. Let Me enlighten you
in 1800  there wasy the Revolution of 1800. not hard to remeber. then theres jefferson who win the election of it and it is a peaceful switch. when he came to office peeps thought he'd be a lot more radical than he was. but he didnt try to change everything.
1808
Madison became president. he was trying to stay neutral with Britan and France, which was kinda hard since at the time they were getting along with eachother. which started the War of 1812. ( second war of independence)this war started a new view of nationalism in America. the Hartford conventions the new England states tried to break awayfrom the rest of the states. this was the result of the war of 1812.
1815
James Monroe(5th) Era of goodfeelings. life was tough but people still had good feelings. there was a major push westward, enable by the Erie Canal, which opened up the Great lakes region for settlement. the Ohio river valley was beginning to be settled.
1820 was the Missouri  Compromise.,
1821 Cohens V.Virginia was the court case that gave the supreme court the right to review state court decisions
Monroe Doctrine- stated the Europe could not colonize in Latin America or else it would be seen as a threat to the US. it couldnt be inforced by the US, but Britian did it for us.it would help their trade with new protected colonies.
