The stories I have yet to tell
I have wanted to become a short-story writer for a long time.  Only now does that dream seem farther away than ever and I'd like to think that if I had the time I would at least make an attempt at it.  With that in mind I'm offering story ideas to myself and anyone else.  If it's a good idea then I'll start outlining the story.  If it's a bad idea, or an idea someone has had already I will forget about it.  Let's see if these spark anyone's interest ...

“Entity”

A voice in Frank’s head is a sentient being that feeds on the sins and evil in humans through touch.  Frank makes a deal to give it control of his body to feed and rid the townspeople of their sins.  Only afterwards does he find more than he bargained for.

“Scary Lady”

Joel and his autistic brother Gregory are witness to the latest of a series of attacks which leaves victims in a catatonic state.  Only Gregory can see the mysterious attacker and Joel must rely on his brother and his faith to stop the supernatural villain.

“Whispers”

Sam’s highly-active brain not only allows her to know everyone’s greatest fear.  It also allows her to instill that fear into the person with a whisper.  Her ability backfires when she trusts the wrong person with her own biggest fear.

“Behind U”

One by one Jill’s online friends stop coming online to chat.  But when her real life friends stop coming online and go missing Jill must help the police retrace their final chats.  The hunt for the kidnapper and victims reveals a sickening truth.  The killer can track victims through chat lines.

“Evil Spirit”
Jordan returns to his home First Nation amidst a rash of deadly animal attacks.  As he battles with a spiritual crisis and his torrid past he resolves to help his community stem the threat.  It is not until he confronts the murderous beast that he finds new respect for old beliefs.

That's a start.  There are 74 more stories I can pick from if I want feedback.

Holy S$&*! I don't know what yer beef is, but your writing style just POPS! It's like looking at a classic dust jacket commentary. I compare it to my own work and suddenly feel a bit stupid. I sorta agree with Raj that the last one has some potential--but I feel I've seen it somewhere before. Maybe Farenheit 451 or White Noise? Behind U sounds like another cheezy take on that recent scare movie where the girl is on the phone and the guy is in the house with her:P Whispers sounds interesting, but I'm not sure of the plot flow. It sounds like it might just be a series of different secret scenarios and then the clincher backfire bit--sorta like Final Destination. But, the concept is intriguing. Scary Lady sounds like a recent Dr Who episode I saw. Not sure what to think, but I like the idea of a mysterious attacker only certain people can see. Entity just sounds plain scary. What's with all the supernatural freak shows? 'You being haunted?:P Style is on the mark, just flush some of the ideas out. I am in the same boat. I hope I don't lose hope, cuz I have a number of stories I'd like to get published--without selling my soul--and potentially turned into movies/cartoons.
