 Explain to me the logic....
First and foremost I'd like to thank everyone for visiting.  i hit 100 views tonight, and where it's nothing compared to what I was getting on blogster I feel pretty good considering I'm starting from scratch here.  This post is going to hit a few points tonight so try to stick with me.

I'd like to ask anyone out there who has the time or belief to say a little prayer for my Ryles (my avatar).  She's a little over two and is in the process of being diagnosed with a genetic condition.  The vet beliefs she has a hereditary bleeding disorder; while it can be managed it will shorten her life-span by about half.  Maybe luck will pull us through and it's just plain old kidney stones, but she's exhibiting all the symptoms for the condition and it's fairly common in one of her contributing breeds.  Thank you so much.

Now, to the meat and potatoes....Explain to me the logic here.  There are people out there that in one breath say that the debt is appalling.  The scream at the top of their lungs at how Medicare is being handled, at how we've borrowed from social security.  They go on and on about how BAD the U.S. government has become.  (K, so I'm guilty of this one.)  You can't count recent mistakes on two hands because you run out fingers.  Yet...

...they think these people capable of running our healthcare system.  They praise cap and trade, then swear taxes won't go up because our president "said so."  And they're just as happy to give them something else they can control.  Perhaps, and I'll give the guy the benefit of the doubt, he DIDN'T intend for taxes to go up.  Perhaps, he MEANT what he said on the campaign trail.

However, desiring something doesn't make it a reality.  I tend to like to live in this little demension called reality.  It sucks, let's be honest.  But I'd rather live here in sucksville any day rather than in happyland.  BECAUSE  happyland exists in your immagination and while immagination can be a powerful tool we must be wary not to use it for the dark-side.  Is making people believe what they want to hear is going to happen when it really isn't ethical?

On the flip side I have to give our politicians kudos.  If I was dealing with an American public that would eat whatever I spoonfed them through the media at face value I'd probably screw them over too.  Hey, what can I say?  It's a dog eat dog world and the politicians just happen to be mastiffs (big, but a little slow to act and well...ugly) and we're the little furry taco bell dogs.  Unfortunately for them there's more of us than them and we're strong when we travel in packs.

George Bernard Shaw once said, "Democracy is a form of government that substitutes election
by the incompetent many for appointment by the corrupt few."  I hate to point be the one to point it out, but ladies and gentlemen I would like to congratulate us on doing one hell of a job at proving this guy right.  The worst part is I'm not talking about Obama.  It is the legislature that's writing these laws that are destroying our democracy, he's just an enabler (which really isn't any better, but hey...).

So, in conclusion....
I would like someone to explain to me the logic in giving more power to those whom we feel are already abusing the power they have.
I would like someone to explain to me logic of people believing in the media (be it Fox News, ABC, MSNBC, etc...) as we already believe them corrupt.
I would like someone to explain to me the logic in re-electing the same men and women to do the same jobs just so we can have the same complaints.
I would like someone to explain to me how we spend two years electing the guy who will sign the laws while most of us can't name the people who write the laws for us.
But mostly I would like...
Someone to explain to me why we continue to strive to be uneducated, to be the incompetent many and why we continue to elect the corrupt few.

P.S.--I'd also like to know why everyone's setting their fireworks off tonight instead of...today?  Happy 4th of July.

P.P.S.--I'm not going to the Tea Party here in Lafayette tomorrow.  They've turned it into some comercialized fiasco and I for one want to no part.

P.P.P.S.---Good Night!  =^^=

Yeah polictis now adays sucks with Sarh Pailn going for going for president. Thats whats happening, and I think she ould suck as a Polition. She didnt know a thing about shit when she was going for vice president. Yeah politians suck immensely when it comes down to it. And like how the republicasn are sucking more and more evryday. Fox and Mnsc or whatever its called gives shit about it all znd so we are getting a lot of whats going on. The things Sarah Palin is unbelievable though. i DONT KNOW WHAT YOUR POSTION ON POLITICS If you are democratic or republica, but right now I am a democrat but as always I have been democrat and I intend to be democratic for the rest of my life no matter what, for life actually. But I dont know much about who is abusing politics but I think Obama is doing a great job so far dealing with the issues that need to be adderssed.I asgree that people of the republicans are trying to break him but he is constantly focusing on what needs to be dealt with. And I know I said this in the sentence above but its just I love Obama and I dont know eactly how you feel about Obama or abything. But I do agree with you that poltictsare being corrupt as of now.But reality is something that agree with. But its like people are forgetting what really matter. In the end they will see, I think, how things are not suitable for politics as we know as of now. This is a subject I take seriously which is why I am writing a long comment and I hope you understand why, lol. I hate the whole controvery of how healthcare is treated in the US and I hope Obama focuses on how this affects the US, CUZ OTHER COUNTRIES LIKE fRANCE AND eNGLAND FOR EXAMPLE Have healthcare administered to each of the civilians of the government, so why cant healthcare be administerd to the civilians of the United sTAES, wE LIVE IN A CAPITALIST SYSTEM, AND WE DO HAVE SOCIALIST thigns such as the libraries and the main services but I still think there can be much more. But, I agree with you that same complaints are the same with each president we elect si maybe will wake up and smell the coffe to what is really neccessary for the country and bring about change that is neede in our country. And I do believe what you said about democracy being torn down. And I never thought of what telling people want to hear is unethical. I agress with that people should not tell people want to hear when they dont act on what they say, so yes that is unethical in every situation that ocurs. It is definitely abusing the power they have and promising to do things that they cannot do or it definitely to make people believe in promisees in which they just cant do but they want people to not to worry and then they dont produce the reults and then they happen to make excuses for what they have done.So no the logic in that is confusing to me and is nonexistent to me and that is unethucal I think. And I think the uneducated people who are elected is unethical and just right out ridiulous. But I think Obama is very educated and knows what is necessary to fufill his promises even though he has alot of tasks that he has to fufill as president of the United States will fufill the deeds he promised in the elections and I think if Mccain and Sara Pailn were elcted they would suck and this country would definetly go under cause hes like Bush, and Bush sucked as president totally. But making a prmoise doesnt make reality no matter what is promised. The quote you had from George Bernard Shaw was adequate but being an democratic I have som isseus about what he said, but yet it was accurate in some ways. But the media can be misleading you are right. I live in reality as well so I know what you mean, so that absolutely makes sense to me. And that point where the "Taxes" wont go up is a crop of shit I think. So many president have prmoised thi but nothing actually happens. Hopely Obama will do something about this matter. But there is no gurantte, ya know? Happyland does exist in your imagin so you are corrcect I think, and sucksville should be spoon fed to the plitians who havent a clue in the world at all I think. To explain logic here is a matter of education and research for the politians to disover for themselves, meanwhile the entire public is either suffering or baffled of what is going on in politics and answers still remained unanswered unfortunatley which is annoying but unfortunately the public has no say in this matter because the president has his agenda of what he is going to do about certain issues so what the fuck ever, ya know? It just right out sucks, I think. So I'll shut up tonight for I think your blog entry made alot of points to express that is happening with everything that is going on. Keep making posts about this issue cause I am really interested on what people have to say about this issue. And its always interesting to see opinois, that express different views of politcis and what people think the politics is mentioned on MSN and all the other ahows
