The other Day my lady & I were chilling, and I found my self going off on Oprah. I’m sure my lady didn’t understand my frustration, but she also knows I’ve never been a big Oprah fan. Yes, I understand that the Queen of Media is the poster child for “from nothing to something” or “Rag’s to riches” & no lie she truly is an inspiration to everybody chasing the American Dream. I just don’t like how she turns her back on Hip-Hop at times; I mean what’s really good, what’s her show about? She has had damn rapist, crazy ass killers, lying ass authors etc. and she won’t have anybody affiliated to hip-hop b/c they are too violent 7 vulgar? Oh wait she had Russell Simmons & Common to discuss the Don KKK Imus controversy. On this particular show Oprah launched an offensive against the hip-hop culture…ok honestly, as a hip-hop junky, I know the art & culture has been shaky as of late, but I even know That the fucken Oprah Winfrey show isn’t a fair panel for such a debate. For a smart black woman how can she want to tear down the hip-hop community like that? She used hip-hop videos to help her cause, as her audience watched & listened to her. If you ask me, She failed to fully shed light to the whole issue, word kid, what about the females that perform in those videos? Shouldn’t they be held accountable too? A lot of them will do anything for money and a spot on BET or MTV, hell I’m sure Oprah her damn self did something she wasn’t proud of to get her own damn show,…no I’m not suggesting she sucked anybody’s dick. We all know that Stedman doesn’t even live with her, and when he sleeps over some peeps suggest that he doesn’t even sleep in the main house, that old Stedman retires for the night in the guest house. Now in my opinion, if Oprah sucked a mean dick, you know Stedman will be coming back for more lol ok, sorry that was just a side joke. So back to these video chicks, I mean they trying hard to get a brake too, it’s not like there’s a $40 million girl school they can go at. Seriously B, what’s up with her punk ass opening up a $40 million school in South Africa? Ok please don’t misunderstand me, I really think this was really special gesture; I’m sure the SA people are made grateful; she gave those kids hope, and a chance to stay out of hip-hop videos. But, why couldn’t she use ¼ of that money here? Do you know how many Projects she could have helped? Better yet fuck any project, she should fix her old projects…I mean don’t tell me all that chocolate pudding has made her forget where she came from. I really hope Oprah’s heart was in the right place when she decides to take her money to Africa & that she didn’t want to just be the next celebrity to hop on that Hollywood “let’s adopt kids from Africa” band wagon.
Real talk Oprah has lost a lot of Black supporters through out the years. But now that she’s cosigning my man Barack, she has gained at least my attention. As much as it has crossed her mind, as well the minds of her audience, she couldn’t run for president herself if she wanted to.
I mean, obviously she’s an incredibly accomplished women. She’s got more gwap aka money than damn near anyone, which has been the key for running for any sort of political office since the beginning of time. And she’s got some truly insane percentage of this country’s middle-aged women pretty much eating out of her hand, spending vast sums of money on all sorts of bullshit just because Oprah said she liked it. Have y’all watched her X-mas show? I truly believe If Oprah Winfrey actually went up to a 45 year-old white woman with some corn covered in her feces in her hand, I think the woman would pull a Monica Lewinsky, get down on her knees and eat some of it…lol I wouldn’t be surprised. Now Just think what you could do with that sort of power.
Honestly though, I do think that the real extent of Oprah Winfrey’s influence is overestimated. Yeah, she can get older women to plop down crazy sums of money of refrigerators with flat panel TVs in them and what have you, but you have to wonder: If there was never such a thing as Oprah Winfrey in the first place, would women not still feel compelled to waste money on bullshit?
No, my guess is that if there was never an actual Oprah Winfrey, someone would have invented one a long time ago, what with the sheer number of women in this country over the age of 35 or so. They’ve got their hands on so much money, and yet they’re kinda past the point where they could be of any use to a man. You’d want some sort of fancy refrigerator yourself, if you were in that position.
Also, you have to wonder what Oprah’s real chances of winning a presidential election would be, given that she is, after all, a motherfucking TV talk show host. She’d probably fail miserably, and who knows what effect that would have on her vast multimedia empire.

Stop defending her. Oprah is a hatin' ass bitch. She didn't build the school in the USA b/c she said "all the kids here want is new sneakers and iPods." yeah, well, that's all they're gonna want when that's what's advertised on tv here in the great USA. She made Karrine Steffans a.k.a. Superhead seem like a super hero and a woman to be looked up to by young females. Puh-lease. All Oprah saw was another black female making tons of money just like her. She is building this new neighborhood for the people affected by Katrina in New Orleans but each family only gets a 2 bedroom house. Some of those families have 4 or more children. That bitch knows she can afford at least a 3 bedroom house for each! One room for parents, one room for girls, and one for boys. If I had the $$$$ that's what I'd do anyway. And what about the families affected by Rita? All of them have been forgotten! I hate Oprah. She was better when she was fat.
