Grammy red carpet shocker
What’s really good, you know I had to hit y’all back with something fresh. I’m at work on my lunch break, it’s Monday, and my shorty ain’t pack me shit as far as lunch goes. To ad insult to injury the Cafeteria is serving Meat loaf,…mmm well I guess time for me to start blogging:
Is It just me or it seems like once a week these days some celebrity gets caught doing something completely out of this world. I mean something so fucked up we all kick back & wonder what the fuck was son smoking. My favorite part is the aftermath, you have some peeps just ripping them, while others go as far as making excuses fom them.
Take for example when Michael Vick got caught fighting dogs, which ultimately ended up getting him thrown in the booty house aka prison. Which ultimately cost his punk ass his NFL career. At the time, it was suggested that he was from the South and that’s what they do down there, and it would be elitist of us to suggest that there’s something wrong with it just because we didn’t grow up with it. Ok listen here homeboys, did y’all know some places in East Asia child prostitution is legal & cool as a Fan? Well imagine some clown growing up there then comes here starts banging 11 or 12 years old girls, now would we make the same excuse for him? I mean it’s legal where he grew up at, right? I’m not comparing dog fighting to child prostitution, but I’m just trying to show a parallel example of laws that’s this country takes very seriously. Laws are like traffic signs: pay attention to them, Stop, slow down, Yield etc either you obey them or crash mo’fucka
Anyway back to my drop, so the crazy celebrity of the Week award goes to (drum rolls)…..actually I think this week it’s a tie between NAS & his Wifey Kelis. Those that watched the Grammys witnessed this madness. I in the other hand didn’t tune in to watch the Grammy’s this year, hell I haven’t watched it for the last 4 years. I mean I don’t have to tune in to watch all the white folks win while the brothers get shit on, if I want to watch that I’ll just put my Roots DVD. Plus It’s depressing to realize that ‘Ye and Jay are literally the only rap artists deemed relevant at this sort of chucky cheese event. But seriously do you think I give a damn about the Damn Grammy? I was occupied enjoying some yummy dinner with my fam, then contemplated watching “3:10 to Yuma”(yo this movie is hard body you need to watch it if you haven’t).
So I kept flipping back and forth between the Espn NBA game and a few other things. Unfortunately, I didn’t think to tune in to any of the coverage of the red carpet that ran on some other networks, like CNN, which I guess didn’t have any REAL news to cover. Even though I’d bet my entire pay check something was worth reporting more then the Grammys Red carpet. Anyway since Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton were both interviewed on 60 Minutes on CBS, I guess they had to back off the election news. So it wasn’t until today that I saw That my dude Nas was at the Grammys, so was Jay, Usher, Kanye, Common etc basicly the red carpet looked like some BET event for a hot min. But wait, Nas really should have taken his meds before this appearance, him and his wife Kelis had clothing with the dreaded n-word on them, Nas had a T-shirt & Kelis aka MILK SHAKE LADY had a jacket. And yes you red it right N-I-G-G-E-R was all over their clothes. I couldn’t even continue with my day before I heard what actually inspired him to come at the Grammys like that. I mean God Damn, I was like “what the fuck is this Nigga on”. In the back of my mind all I was think about how the nature of the word should not be over looked. We still live in a world of eagerly racist mother fuckers who won’t hesitate to express that hatred if only given the opportunity. This Shirt does that for them. After Nas garners mass media exposure over this shirt who’s to say that some redneck any where won’t use this as their plight to start using this word freely & publicly. Look Don KKK Imus, didn’t he try to blame Rap music for his antics? I was so shocked I didn’t know what to think, I mean I Know that was rumored to be the Title of his next CD,…but God damn, did he really have to flash that on CN fucken N?
So I played the youtube video, I was eager to hear what Nas had to say, he was interviewed on the red carpet by motherfucking Joey Fatone, yeap the chunky guy from N’Sync, i.e. the straight one, who was reporting for CNN. Not to Derail, But how is Son employed by CNN? They should send his ass packing, he was horrible in a toy ooops I mean boy band, what makes them think he can be a damn reporter? Thank God some other CNN chick (was pretty hot) stepped up to Nas.
The CNN hoty asked Nas about his shirt and what the response to it has been so far on the red carpet. Nas responds that so far people have been surprisingly open-minded. I then paused & though about what this Nigga was about to say, I mean was I pissed? Hell yeah, I don’t need him to supply Bill “Nazi” O’Reilly with more ammo to take shots at my culture. So then I listen to what he had to say, WOW. Either Nas is a dumb mo’fucka Or he’s really smart. And for the record he educated me, well Technically His wifey did, she added her 2 cent, by saying that John Lennon had a song called “woman is the nigger of the World”…Ok, now if that don’t trip you I don’t know what will, could you imagine bumping this shit driving to work? Hell, if Lennon could name his song that then why are we tripping over Nas wardrobe and his Album title? For all I know some fuck boy calls us under his breath “nigger” at least twice a week. At work, the Subway, the grocery store etc. After really listening to him, I jumped on that wagon kid, Now let me make this clear just b/c Nas is naming his album Nigger, that don’t give some of you the right to start using it, especially not in my presence. Me & mine would definitely go up side your head kid, and that’s a promises. So use your words wisely. And as Far as Nas Goes, Nigga keep making them Hater Mad
