 A Lesson Learned
What is life but one big lesson? Have you ever met a little child who seems to have such a powerful understanding of things beyond their age? Or have you ever have known a person that has been living for a long time and yet, still does not seem to grasp some rather simple truths. In my opinion this is because we are all here in life to learn a series of cosmic lessons. Some people are actually older souls that have already learned many lessons and bring them into this life at the time of their birth. While others are younger souls, and in their experience they have not learned these cosmic lessons yet. So what is my point? Well, I think that the current state of the world is so messed up that we need to not only learn from our current mistakes, but we need leaders to step forward and teach us a way easy enough for the masses to follow. When will we learn that war is not the answer? I am not talking about Iraq or 9/11 here so please don’t get caught up on these words. I am saying, when will humanity learn that love is the way of life? There is one universal love that unites us all. I truly believe this and feel that in time we can learn to overcome the insane logic that is so common throughout the world today.

Happy New Year Everyone...

One Love

Great post. I fully agree too. Perhaps you ARE one of the leaders we need?

I remember that photo Wayne. I dont think Love is too simple an answer though, but it may just be the hardest one to accept and make true.

I really liked this Ben.
I do not comment much on your journal, because since I found out that you are 'TheStaff', I feel like I am talking to the President or something.
I could not resist a comment this time.
This one struck me as Wonderful.
Peace.

Great post Ben, but I'm not sure that life without war is possible anytime in the near future.

As much as technology can alienate us from true human emotions, it can also provide us with means to interact like never before. If we play our cards just right, we might be able to turn into a global village as naíve as that sounds.

Respect is a twin-blade sword. On the other hand each and every human deserves respect per se but when we take respect into realms of culture and religion, we are on a slippery slope. Is it not a humane thing to do to condemn certain religious practices when they cause hurt and suffering for those who cannot defend themselves. If a cultural or religious practice is opposite to human rights, it cannot be left untouched no matter how much the practitioners might "hurt".

Warm greetings from a cold country :)
