She trusts nobody

She covers her lies

She wonders alone and looks up to the skies

Her hair is dark brown

Her eyes are deep blue

She can’t describe herself like she wants to

Her heart has been broken

It’s now on the mend

All she wants is an understanding friend

She used to be tall

She used to be loud

But now she hides and blends in with the crowd

It’s not what she wants

It’s not who she is

So she’s trying to break free and conquer her fears

Her style is unique

Well she likes to think so

But wherever she goes her doubt will follow

Her body is ugly

And so is her mind

Her image she hates but can’t leave it behind

She lives with her worries

She let’s no one know

And none of these feelings she wishes to show

She’ll keep going on

Day after day

Letting God lead her and show her the way

One day she will stumble

And then she will fall

But when she gets up she’ll be something more

More than a stranger

More than a face

More than a girl who’s just there to fill space

She has a reason

She has a goal

She has a genuine heart, mind and soul

She’ll prove who she is

Let the world see it

There’s a hero inside her and she wants to be it

But where can she go

Who can she tell

Who wants to know of the times when she fell

Maybe there’s someone

A boy she can hold

But no one would want her, so she’s been told

Alone in the dark

The silence her threat

The pain on the inside is very deep set

She can’t help herself

Is there someone who can

Someone who’ll never let go of her hand

Listen and love her

Show her he cares

Give her much more than just pitiful stares

Her options are weakening

They’re numbered and few

She doesn’t know what she’s meant to do

She’ll pretend she’s alright

Hide behind walls

That keep her alone with the reasons she falls

Someone please save her

From her own self

Her mind is the one thing that needs the most help

She wants to get out

And meet someone new

Someone who’s different, who knows what to do
