it breaks my heart but congradulations.  But why do you feel the need to hide your engagement?  why did it take you 5 days to tell me you were engaged and then instead of telling me you just balled your eyes out?  did you think I was going to yell at you?  Im not your mother
It doesnt sit well with me that you had put your foot down and said you wanted to stay here for a few years and he didnt want to leave where he is, so the next thing that happens is he purposes??? 
and its pretty cool that we only have had our appartment for 3 weeks
