I do have good friends that I can talk to. They really don't know what to tell me other than just try and get over it and move on.They all like my husband very much. He is a very personable person. Some days I do ok and other days like yesterday I just feel so alone. I wear my feelings on my sleeve so everyone knows when I am having a bad day.I really don't have any hobbies outside the house other than shopping and that costs money. So does bingo.I don't have a church group anymore. I care for a little boy with CP and he is here every weekend and every day after school which doesn't give me much time to go out. I am only free during the day before school lets out and at night during the week after 6.I was thinking of seeing if I could do some volunteer work at the VA. Don't know if they have anything like that.

I am becomming a work-a-holic. I will come in early, work for free (since they cut my overtime) come back from lunch early, and all that just so i have something to do. I can not be alone with my thoughts, for then I feel crazy, and alone even more than normal. I was talking to my god-father who told me that it is normal to go through this, at any age, any point in our lives. I feel alone, and have a wonderful boyfriend, who has 4 kids, I have some good friends and some good family, I have a very full life, which involves very little for me. FOR ME... FOR YOU is the key, not something anyone else wants, or something that will benefit others, something that is yours and yours alone, is what we need. If you like to paint, create an art studio. If you like to write build a private office. find one things that is yours and yours alone. And son't let anyone else take it away from you.
It brings a little peace of mind, and helps you build a little more you which feels the bright light to fight the loneliness

Volunteering sounds like a great idea. You'd could go to the VA (obviously), Animal Shelter, Red Cross, Salvation Army, etc. Bonus: You'd meet new people and feel better about yourself. Great idea, I love it.
