 Summer Holidays
Give or take, 12 weeks that will not involve any university-related obligations. Hence, being able to use this time to reflect upon the past nine months at university, during which most of the time they were spent completing assignments, attending lectures, having fun with friends and various other activities, leaving very little time to think about other issues.

After not having performed as well as I should have, I aim to make an early start in preparation for my third and most likely, final year in Warwick. I do not want to be disappointed again, I do not want to feel so stressed out again. To be honest, I was even more disappointed with this year's results because I felt that I had never studied so hard and so much in my entire life. Perhaps, the commitments and expectations from a university student are greater compared to those from a high school student, but nonetheless, I have never felt so insane; facing notes/books/Google each and every day for a month or so. I have to say having my friends' support and encouragement me kept me going and kept me sane! And for that, I thank you all deeply.

Time really passes by so quickly, without me realizing. Come Autumn, it will be the beginning of my 5th year in the UK as a student. I recall back to the eve of the day I was due to leave, I cried so hard. The thoughts of leaving my comfort zone, being all alone, making a fresh start and facing new challenges were all so daunting and scary. I may not have come very far from that day, but I am so thankful for all the opportunities and life experiences that I have encountered. I still cannot read a map properly, find my way in a big, unfamiliar area, come up with creative dishes that involve making use of the ingredients available or run errands that involve computer repair/banking in cash and cheques but I am learning and have not given up.

This Summer, I want to achieve a few things. Quite on top of my list is fighting for what I truly believe in. I want to get my point across, too. I want to make a difference in their lives, in positive ways. I want them to see things with a more open mind. I want to see them excel and live more meaningful lives. Because, I love them.

"Dreams pass into the reality of action. From the actions stems the dreams again; and this interdependence produces the highest form of living." - Anais Nin.
