I am wondering how many people out there feel that the patriotism has gone out of the 4th of July. I remember when I was younger that the 4th of July was a major event--especcially since my birthday was (still is) on July 3rd and my mother's was on the 5th of July. We always felt that the fourth split the difference so we would celebrate our birthdays the same day and enjoy the festivities of the fourth. When I was a kid, this was a BIG THING!!! Now it doesn't feel that way. Even the respect for what our country deserves doesn't seem to be shared in my neighborhood. We have flags up all over the place butn no one else does. Our "fireworks" is used to emphasize the importance of the freedoms we have in our country. The neighborhood uses them to disturb the peace and to start some kind of neighborhood altercation in the middle of the night so no one can rest.
What do you think?

- Hi! You wrote me a comment about the saxaphone. I think it's great that you were playing for 45 years!! I want to do that with guitar and piano. I just don't enjoy the saxaphone as much.
- I really respect the 4th of July! It's a great time of year! I put on red, white, and blue and we light fireworks and I am amazed of how long our country has been an independent nation and I think of our founding fathers and a whole lot more! Of coarse I don't know every detail but I still think of what I know! (: Wow. I never knew that about fireworks. That's really cool! We can't use big fireworks in our neighborhood but this 4th of July we're seeing them on the beach! I've always wanted to because I can see the sunset on the beach (I figured you already knew I like sunsets) and then watch the fireworks!!! Have fun at your 4th of July!

Thanks, Sunsetwaves12. I was just messing with my accoustic guitar with my 5 year old daughter. I WISH I could play it. All I can do is pick out melodies but, alas, the OLD DOG rule sometimes gets in the way. She, on the other hand, has a chance of not only learning it but becoming proficient at it. I still think you should reconsider saxophone...but do you take any private piona?
