A riad is a house type "thing" with a courtyard. The courtyard is jn the center and the whole house is basically built around it. It is a traditional house and is found in the Medina in the center of Marrakech.

 We have a riad in the Medina that dad lets out to people who come and stay for a couple of days in Marrakech. I love the way mum has yet again designed the riad, but I have already spoken about her expertees!!

 The riad is a remote little house on a street called Derb El Cadi, a very well known road in the "old city". It has a square close to it about 5 minutes walk away. It is where an internet cafe is, a telephone booth and chariots for your oveloaded shopping!! Mind you it isnt like you would see in England, a smart telephone booth on the highstreet with advanced new telephones and credit for sale... just take a look:
