We had a hill in the back of our house that we weren't supposed to play on because it was too big for us at the time. I was only 7 at the time and my brother was 9 and my sister was 11. The hill was taller than all of us. It was huge!! We played on it although my parents didn't want us to because they said "we would kill ourselves". It was really steep on one side but not the other. So we thought we would be smart and we went and started jumping off the hill, riding our bikes and trash can lids down, and ran down the hill.
My sister had a broken arm at the time and she tried to ride her bike down and she couldn’t control her bike and halfway down she fell off her bike and rolled to the bottom. My brother and I ran down the other side and around the hill to get to her. She was lying on the ground and she rolled over when we got there. She told one of us to go get mom but make sure that dad didn’t come out. I ran to the house and my mom and dad were sitting there together watching TV and I had no other choice but to tell both of them so I thought. I guess I could have asked my mom to come with me but I was only 7. Anyways, back to the story. They both ran outside and my dad picked up my sister after he made sure her back or neck weren’t hurting her at all and took her into the house. He laid her on her bad and she was complaining that her arm and her leg were hurting her.
My parents got my sister situated in bed and got her cleaned up because she got really dirty and they told her that they would go to the doctor tomorrow. She laid all the way down and fell asleep. My parents came out more furious than ever. They asked us what we thought we were doing playing on that hill. We told them that Kortney said you guys said it was ok. So we went ahead and started playing on it. We got spanked even though our sister said it was ok. They told us to stay away from it and no matter what Kortney said we don’t touch the hill.
When my sister came home we found out that she sprang her leg and just bruised her arm. My dad came with some kind of tractor to flatten the hill and all in one day the hill was gone. I guess we never should have played on it. It was the stupidest thing we had ever done.
