A perfect day again. I'm afraid that we'll pay for all this beautiful weather later. A big giant carb filled breakfast was had at IHOP. Jim went off to pick up a few things from the drugstore and I went off to get my nails done. Then we set off to explore Chimney Rock. It's a huge rock formation that contains an elevator to take passengers up 26 stories to enjoy the view. The ride up the mountain was a bit hair raising. No more than 15 MPH for the 3 mile long trip. It was filled with switchbacks and hairpin turns. Fun for sure! The view from up there was incredible, Lake Lure and mountains. After the appropriate ooohing and aaahhing we departed for Lake Lure. We'd heard about a biker bar called Margaritaville. After a couple of trips thru town and not finding it we were informed that they had gone out of business. Back to the hotel area and stopped for lunch at the Fiddlin' Pig, a local BBQ joint. The food was crazy good and the leftovers were just as good. Chilled out for a bit in front of the tube and so ends another day. Tomorrow we check out and move on.
