I smile with a broken face,
lifeless.
I've allowed others to chip and mold me
like a statue.
How can I make you see
there's a soul inside?
I yearn and reach out,
scream and cry out.
So desperately.
I want you to see me.
But you just stare,
then coldly walk away.
I'm statuesque.
My voice is silenced
behind dried marble. |

A beautiful image-- you have a gift for poetry, I think, more than most people who try to write it. I can hear the screaming of the soul trapped in the statue.
Try something not so depressing sometime. :P
Cheers,

I just read your poem again... it's fascinating. Have you ever submitted anything for publication online or in a magazine? You should, and I mean that. I majored in English and minored in Creative Writing, and I'm a published writer myself.
Just had to encourage you to keep writing.
Smile,
Eden

Wow. I sort of wrote a poem like this once, but yours is by far better. I love it!
