ever since, i have been a desperate writer. i have always wanted to write about stuff, but then i find it difficult to grasp the words that will best explain my thoughts..in fact, i've signed up to popular blog sites and even to the never-heard ones. but either way results to one thing -- a crap!
i think writing (in its deeper sense) requires reading..a lot of READING..and i don't read. well, not literally. i mean, i'm not a booklover. I could name only 3 books which I've read and understood. so how can i write if i don't read? in fact, one of my mottos is "why read, if there's a tv".. well, it's no surprise to see the best-seller novels added to the list of the must-seen movies and the newspaper headlines broadcasted by well-known newscasters. besides, visual learning is better than any other kinds of learning. however, i also know that appreciation of a masterpiece can be best obtained through looking at its original form -- the combination of letters.
my passion for writing is like my fondness for iced coffee with raspberry ice cream.. i never liked iced coffee until i had it added with raspberry cream. and i know my passion will be as futile as it always has become, if i will not develop my writing skills. so right now.. i'm going to take it one step at a time... to finally reach my goal of becoming a writer.. i will first try to practice by writing a journal.. and this is going to be the first step.
