Jesus Said: I Am The Bread of Life on 2008-02-20 12:23:28 |

I can relate to you totally. I remember my life before Jesus and my life has changed drastically but not over night. It's definetely a process and He never gives up on us; we give up on Him. I've had times where I wanted to give up because of church but it came down to realizing I really had nowhere else to go. I didn't want to go back to my old life...it offered nothing but emptiness. So here I am, still going to church and loving the Lord.

snowplough,
I'am sorry that religion has left such a bitter taste in your mouth. I am one who believes that the Bible is God's word. And I just want to say please do not judge all Christians by what you see on t.v. with the televangilists asking for people's money. The truth is most true believers (Christians) do not agree with some of those people. The reason being is that it seems that, like you said, all they want is money. And then it's kind of like what are they really doing with all that money? Then it looks bad when they live a lavish lifestyle. The way I deal with that is I think to myself that eventually one day they will stand before the Lord and have to give account of themselves. As far as Islam goes there are Islamic people who are not extreme like what the media portrays. You will have extremes and moderates in just about any cause or religous beliefs. Yes, I believe wholeheartedly in the Bible and I'm not in any way offended by what you said and I hope I wasn't too forward with my comment.
